Roger Federer is a world famous professional male tennis player from Switzerland. When Federer was twelve he decided to devote his time to tennis. Two years later he became Switzerland's national champion and began training at the Swiss National Tennis Center. He then entered the junior circuit in 1996 and won the junior Wimbledon and Orange Bowl in 1998 before joining the pro circuit. He made his Olympic debut at Sydney in 2000 when he lost in the bronze medal match. Then in 2001 he won his first ATP title. Federer secured the World No. 1 place after finishing with 11 ATP titles and a .925 winning percentage in 2004. He has garnered numerous titles in both singles and doubles.
